I’ve taught A-Level Business for eight years, both in the classroom and through private tuition. I’m particularly interested in marketing strategy and how businesses respond when markets change. A lot of my sessions involve working through real company examples before moving onto exam questions. I’m quite particular about evaluation because that’s often where capable students leave marks behind.

Hi, I’m an A-Level Business tutor with a background in finance and management. I started tutoring while working in industry and found that I really enjoyed explaining the bits students often get stuck on, especially ratios, investment decisions and operations. My lessons are fairly relaxed, but we do plenty of timed questions. I also like bringing current businesses into lessons so the theory doesn’t feel quite so abstract.

I have over 12 years’ experience teaching A-Level Business and have worked with students across a wide range of abilities. My main focus is exam technique, particularly longer responses where analysis and judgement need to be developed properly. I use past papers regularly and give fairly detailed feedback on written work. Strategy, leadership and organisational culture are the areas I most enjoy discussing with students.
